Adega Gozo

ADEGA GOZO

Donde un gran vino, comienza con grandes uva

The history of our winery

Passionate and committed to tradition and quality.

Although we are a recently created winery, since this is the second year that we put wine on the market. This project is a new stage in the continuation of a family tradition going back several generations. Our new project aims to be a tribute to his heritage, an example of a respectful and sustainable relationship with the natural environment. Our way of building this project is by taking small but firm steps. As in the elaboration of our wines, slowness 'Slowness' is our way of being. We reserve the long steps and the jumps as a dance to celebrate the joy of knowing that we have achieved part of a dream. By now, in this short journey, we have already jumped for joy a few times.

As in the elaboration of our slow wines “Lentura” is our way of being.

Mountain Viticulture

The soils are fundamentally granite with the exception of two plots of slate soil (Xisto) whose grapes are a fundamental component of our LENTURA barrel wine.
Due to the characteristics of the land, with slopes of 60%, and because they are organized in terraces, they are considered as mountain viticulture.
These characteristics are what force us to carry out a type of cultivation with minimal mechanization in which handwork continues to be the protagonist in all phases of the vine cultivation process. The human factor is an added asset in each of the parts of the process of making this wine on this land.
According to the philosophy of our winery, we assume that it is economically burdensome, but we understand that it is socially and humanly necessary.
These plots are mostly inherited. This forces us to carry out a responsible and respectful management of this tradition. We are the continuators of that legacy and our obligation, once this responsibility has been assumed, is to magnify it.
